Policies & Terms of Service

At Skin By Molly M., my goal is to provide every client with a professional, respectful, and effective experience. To ensure smooth operations and mutual understanding, please review and adhere to the following policies:

1. Appointment Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Please cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time.

  • Cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours' notice will result in a 100% charge of the service cost.

  • You may make up the missed appointment within one week, during my available hours.

  • After one week has passed, the missed appointment is forfeited and no credit will be applied.

This policy allows me to accommodate other clients and maintain a balanced schedule.

2. Clear Skin Disclaimer

As your esthetician, I am committed to helping you achieve your skin goals through professional treatments, education, and customized skincare routines. However, please understand that clear skin results are influenced by many factors—including diet, hormones, lifestyle, medications, and genetics—which may be beyond my scope of practice and control.

  • Acne and other skin conditions can be complex and may require the attention of a medical professional.

  • My treatments are designed to support your journey, but results may vary, and consistency, communication, and patience are key.

3. Right to Refuse Service

Skin By Molly M. is a private, independently operated business. I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is:

  • Disrespectful

  • Dishonest

  • Offensive

  • Inappropriate in conduct, language, or behavior

I strive to maintain a safe and professional environment for all clients and myself.

4. New Client Policy

All new clients are required to begin with a consultation. This is non-negotiable.

  • The consultation allows me to assess your skin, understand your goals, and develop a customized plan for treatment.

  • This proven process has helped me achieve successful results with many clients over the past 10 years.

    5. Returns & Exchanges Policy

    At Skin by Molly M, your satisfaction is important to us. Due to the nature of our skincare products and for hygiene and safety reasons, we do not accept returns once a product has been opened or used.

    However, we understand that special circumstances may arise. Exchanges may be considered on a case-by-case basis for our established clients, depending on the situation.

    If you believe you qualify for an exchange:

    • Please email us at molly@skinbymollymarkland.com or text us at 530-864-7028 within 7 days of receiving your order.

    • Include your full name, order number, the product in question, and a brief description of the issue.

    • We’ll review your request and get back to you promptly with next steps.

    Please note that we reserve the right to deny any exchange request that does not meet our criteria or is not initiated within the timeframe.
